Final Call For Creative Works
It’s the last call for creative works inspired by Exploring Fall Island, an artistic examination of the riparian zone and plant ecology of Fall Island!
Artists, writers, folks of all ages and abilities are invited to create something inspired by Fall Island. It could be a plein air painting of the park, fiber art inspired by the plant life of the island, or something more abstract. We have one final gathering on September 14th at 10 am with Potsdam Pride and Nature Up North where we will delve into the importance of riparian zones and the plants that are growing on Fall Island. You can RSVP to the Facebook event for any relevant updates.
Coming to an event is not required to be a part of the show, you could even make something inspired entirely by online research. Through this initiative, we aim to celebrate the dynamic relationship between land water, and people, spotlighting the ecosystem that thrives along the water's edge. We welcome diverse forms of artistic expression—whether it be visual art, writing, photography, or other mediums—that can help interpret and reflect the richness of Fall Island.
The deadline for submission is October 7th.
Email saralynch@saraelynch.com by the end of September so we can discuss your work and how it could fit into the exhibit.
